Governor Tony Evers has been a champion of the fair maps movement since Day One of his time in office, and he just signed into law new maps that finally puts an end to decades of ugly partisan gerrymandering. This is a huge moment – and proof that when people like us fight for a fair democracy, we can win!

Wisconsin has been a case study for the effects of extreme partisan gerrymandering for decades. But recently, voters have put their foot down, demanding a democracy where every voice is heard. Now, thanks to the hard work from pro-democracy organizations and allies like Governor Evers, Wisconsin finally has a set of maps that will more fairly represent their voters.

We’re thrilled that Governor Evers held his ground and led the fight to get these maps signed into law. When leaders do the right thing, it’s always important that they hear positive feedback from real people.
