To no one's surprise, it’s an attack against me.

It’s unfortunate Calvert is resorting to blanketing the airwaves with fear mongering and smears, though I can’t say I’m surprised.
We’ve known these attacks would come, but frankly, we didn’t expect them to be so desperate or hit the airwaves this early. It’s clear he’s intimidated by the strength of grassroots movement, and will do anything to try and stop our momentum.
We can’t let this go unchallenged. In fact, we’re launching our own response to make sure voters know the truth. That’s why I’m asking:
Can you split a donation today between the California Democratic Party and our campaign so we can completely nullify this attack ad? We set a goal of raising $25,000 this week, and we still have another $15,000 left to raise. Your $35 donation will go a long way in helping us respond to these attacks.
