Heroes in the Heartland

The Indiana State Fair is now in full swing, and this year’s fair theme is particularly special for me. It’s “Heroes in the Heartland,” and it’s putting our state’s heroes – first responders, veterans, active-duty military, farmers, educators and so many others – at center stage. 
 
I was at the fair last weekend with my son, and I had a great time not only enjoying the fair with him, but teaching him about the many Hoosiers who make sacrifices every day to keep us safe and to make this such a great place to call home. If you go out to the fair this year, I hope you take advantage of the programming and events they have planned spotlighting our Hoosier heroes.
 
I hope you also take a minute to stop by the Indiana Republican Party booth at the state fair. We’ve got a booth between the Covered Bridge and the Free Stage (northwest corner of the fairgrounds), and so far we’ve had Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch, Senator Todd Young, Senator Mike Braun and Congressman Greg Pence swing by. You never know who you’ll meet at our booth!

National Federation of Republican Women Convention
Coming to Indiana!

Save the date! The National Federation of Republican Women will be hosting their convention in Indianapolis this year on September 26-29. You’re invited to join them for their opening party – hosted by our own Indiana Federation of Republican Women – the evening of September 27 at the JW Marriott in downtown Indianapolis.
