Koch’s Purchase of Fertilizer Plant Prompts Antitrust Concerns Koch Industries, the second largest private company in the U.S., is attempting to purchase one of the largest fertilizer manufacturing plants in the world. Nancy MacLean Sounds the Alarm on a Radical Constitutional Convention Duke University historian and CMD board member Nancy MacLean recently wrote for The New Republic on the grave threat posed by the Right’s plot for a Constitutional Convention. The CMD research that Nancy cites shows that constitutional convention advocates have spent more than $70 million over the past decade to achieve their goal – and that doesn’t include spending by powerful groups like ALEC, which coordinates and promotes their efforts.
