Extremists are trying to ram a dangerous voter suppression bill through the Georgia legislature — restricting the freedom to vote and undermining our elections.
It’s already cleared its first legislative hurdle and gotten through committee. It could hit the Georgia Senate floor any day now. And its supporters are hoping you don’t notice how hard they are working to rig the system by passing this legislation.
We refuse to sit by and watch our freedoms get rolled back. At Fair Fight Action, we’re mobilizing volunteers and working day in and day out to stop this bill — but with these kinds of attacks moving rapidly through the state legislature, we need your support.
Rush an urgent gift to Fair Fight Action right now and help defend the freedom to vote whenever and wherever it’s under attack >>
Here’s what you need to know: Senate Bill (SB) 221 is an alarming attempt to legislate election intimidation and mass disenfranchisement.
If it becomes law, it will embolden far-right activists and election deniers to continue their crusade of challenging the eligibility of Georgia voters to cast their ballots.
It could also lead to reduced voter registration rates in Georgia by eliminating automatic voter registration. When a similar change was made temporarily in 2020, it had an immediate and dramatic effect on registration rates, reducing rates by a staggering 40 percent.
SB 221 is part of a nationally coordinated right-wing effort to push access to the ballot as far out of reach as possible, especially for Black and brown voters.
We need to spend every possible minute organizing and advocating against this disastrous bill — and for that, we need you. Please rush a $20 donation right away to help fight back against anti-voter extremism as we mobilize activists to stop SB 221 from becoming law.
Thank you for everything,
The Fair Fight Action Team
