There’s been a lot on everyone’s mind right now, but even as we all work together to stop the spread of COVID-19, we can’t let progress on the other issues this campaign was built on fall to the wayside. The pandemic has revealed how urgently we need to fix our health care system -- but climate change and gun violence are still threatening our communities, too.

Sen. John Cornyn has neglected Texans by refusing to do what’s needed to improve our health care system -- even fighting to repeal the Affordable Care Act. He has questioned the existence of climate change and downplayed its threat, explaining the hottest month ever on record as “it’s summer.” He has fought against common-sense gun reforms, including universal background checks on all gun sales, which Texans overwhelmingly support.
