Hi John,
All month long, we’re feeling the love for our local partners.
Today we’d like to introduce you to one standout organization with whom we’re proud to work: SAIF Advocacy Foundation, based in Nigeria. They’re making sure that everyone—including people with disabilities—can get the sexual and reproductive health information and quality abortion care they need.
For anyone seeking an abortion in Nigeria, strict laws and limited access are major obstacles. But it’s even worse for women with disabilities, as they face clinics that are not easily accessible, discrimination and a lack of specialized care.
As a two-time grantee of the Ipas Collaborative Fund, SAIF Advocacy Foundation helps local health groups in their community fold sexual and reproductive health information (that includes abortion!) into their existing programs. This year, SAIF is partnering with community groups led by people with disabilities. Together they'll work to ensure vital knowledge and care reaches even more women and girls who need it.
We invite you to read a beautiful photo story about SAIF’s innovative work.
