I’m sickened by the recent attacks on women’s reproductive health:
Donald Trump – who my far-right opponent recently endorsed – backed a national abortion ban. If he’s elected president again and the House remains in Republican hands, it’s clear no one will stop him.
The Alabama Supreme Court ruled that frozen embryos created through in vitro fertilization are considered children under state law – and at least three fertility facilities have paused new IVF treatments in the state.
Birth control and contraception are next in the line of Republican fire. The corrupt and conservative-majority U.S. Supreme Court will soon hear arguments on mifepristone access, the commonly used abortion pill.
Let me be clear: If Republicans regain the House majority, ALL women will be at risk. No state will be “safe” for women’s bodily autonomy.
That’s why it’s so important to keep CA-47 blue. Voters in the district have made it clear that protecting choice their #1 issue – and this is a personal issue for me. I’ve struggled with fertility issues, and I know firsthand the importance of being in control of our own health care decisions.
