The COVID-19 crisis is about to get much worse in the United States. We’re going to have to fight even harder in the weeks to come to make sure our leaders protect our communities and families.

This is a difficult time for many. That’s why we’re only asking you to donate if you can afford to do so. We want you to take care of your loved ones first.

If you can, please chip in $5 or any amount so our movement can keep fighting for the protections we need during this crisis.

John, these are challenging times.

We want to make sure you remember that you’re not alone; we all face challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.

That’s why, when this crisis began, Women’s March decided to put our energy into the urgent problems that have emerged from this pandemic. So far we’ve:

  • Successfully pressured pandemic profiteers like Amazon to stop price gouging on life-saving supplies.
  • Urged Congress to provide protective equipment for frontline nurses.
  • Led the charge to demand the resignation of Sens. Burr and Loeffler after they were caught committing insider trading around the pandemic. Now there’s a bill in Congress to ban Senators from owning stocks.
  • Launched a webinar series featuring the voices of nurses, teachers, and other experts. We discussed critical topics like how to talk to your children about coronavirus. Now, our community has a place where we can come together and seek advice with others – and nearly 1,000 people have joined us so far. Tune into our next one tonight at 8:30pm ET.
  • Fought for a bottom-up bailout that protects workers, not billionaire CEOs – and now Congress has passed a relief bill that will provide every American with $1,200, which is a great start.
  • And this is only the beginning.

Here’s the harsh reality: What we’re experiencing right now is just the calm before the storm.

The COVID-19 crisis is about to get much worse in the United States. We’re going to have to fight even harder in the weeks to come to make sure our leaders protect our communities and families.

History will look back and remember what we did in the face of these historic challenges. We hope we can count you, John, among those who stepped up to fight the pandemic profiteers and speak up for those who couldn’t.

Understandably, our fundraising has taken a dip recently, so we’re no longer on track to reach our goal before midnight on March 31st. We acknowledge that we’re not the only ones being impacted by the pandemic, but it would mean a lot to us if you could help us overcome these challenges if you’re able.
