John,
I'm proud I get to work with impassioned and dedicated folks like Sarah, and I encourage you to check out her story below on how she wound up working with candidates and activists on the frontlines.
If, like her, you've found that you don't want to sit on the sidelines because there's too much at stake in this election – from the state legislature to the White House – I hope you'll consider supporting our work at Movement Labs.
Thanks for everything you do,
Yoni

I remember this day like it was yesterday.
I was 12 years old when I got to see a new president inaugurated in front of the Capitol building while the old one flew off on a helicopter from the back. I watched in awe as he took his oath of office. And just like that, a new era, a new vision, a new party, and a million new opportunities began, and the air was buzzing with hope.
That day has stuck with me. I've been in awe of that remarkable transition of power ever since. Through good presidents and bad, I've always looked forward to heading to the ballot box and choosing whichever candidate I want, because that memory has always reminded me that my voice matters.
Until now – until this Republican candidate came along who won't accept when he loses fair and square, who runs on vengeance and leveling up scores, and who threatens every single bit of progress we've made since long before I witnessed that inauguration.
I no longer sit on the sidelines and hope for the best. I can't anymore. And neither can you.
So, chip in $3 and help rural county Dems organize and run up the vote totals for Joe Biden in supposed red areas and let's push him over the top in November!

Instead of waiting and hoping, I decided to take action.
I love doing trainings and volunteering and hanging out with friends at canvass kickoffs. But after a while, I realized the things that I believe in – the things that make me a progressive through and through – things like a sustainable environment, equity and equal rights, the right to make my own decisions about my body, and having security and dignity in old age with Medicare and Social Security were getting chipped away bit by bit. Sometimes with a scalpel and sometimes with a hammer. Every time new headlines appeared showing how these rights were being systematically destroyed, my heart broke just a little more.
But, I was determined to turn my heartbreak into change. I'd worked in nonprofits all my life, but when I saw that my values weren't being represented by my elected officials, I decided to jump all in with Movement Labs and use my skills to give tired activists in red states and rural communities a voice, to tell young people they're not too young to run for local office, to tell frustrated parents grumbling about their city council that they can run and become the City Councilor themselves.
People deserve better, and that's a motto I've been committed to since I was 12 years old. It's time to take action.
Join me and jump in, if you haven't already! Your contribution not only recruits local candidates and organizes rural and red state folks, it lays the foundation to send Joe Biden to a second term and win critical Congressional and Senate races across the country.
Onward to November,
Sarah
