Jack, it's been two years since Putin invaded Ukraine and his war on the country remains at a standstill. Violence and uncertainty have become part of everyday life for far too many, yet the people of Ukraine have shown unbreakable resilience as they continue to fight for their independence.

The United Nations Refugee Agency estimates that 6.5 million Ukrainian refugees have sought safety across the globe. Meanwhile, another 3.7 million Ukrainians have been forcibly displaced within the country's borders. The World Health Organization (PDF) reports roughly one-third of people in active combat zones or Russian-controlled areas report they cannot access the medicines they need. It's clear that as the war wages on, the humanitarian crisis for Ukrainians remains dire.

Razom for Ukraine: remains steadfast in their commitment to expanding their efforts for those affected by the war. Thanks to growing donor support they have been able to deliver much needed medical supplies to 15 hospitals, purchased 10 water filtration stations that supply clean water to 36,000 people a day, and they have distributed 99 generators to bomb shelters and resilience points to provide electricity to local communities.
World Central Kitchen: has grown their response mobilizing teams of cooks in Ukraine, Romania, Moldova, Hungary, Slovakia, Spain, and Germany. With more people returning to Ukraine, WCK is focusing efforts to provide hundreds of thousands of fresh meals and tens of thousands of food kits each day. With access to local food disrupted, the WCK team is also supporting frontline communities in eastern and southern Ukraine where the need for food is urgent.
International Fund for Animal Welfare: has been providing emergency relief and funds to Ukraine since the start of the war. They rapidly expanded their emergency response efforts in Ukraine, Poland, Romania and Moldova. IFAW continues to grant emergency funds for food, supplies and veterinary care to animal shelters and wildlife rescue facilities to help animals in need.
Americares: since the start of the war, they have provided total aid valued at more than $121 million to 83 local organizations assisting those affected by the war. Aid includes grants and shipments of medicine and medical supplies, including those delivered by volunteer Medical Outreach teams. To date, Americares has awarded 117 emergency grants valued at more than $5.3 million to 62 organizations working in Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Ukraine.

As the war continues, the Ukrainian people are in need of urgent support. A humanitarian crisis of this scale is in constant need of more resources.
