Navigating FinCEN's New Reporting Requirements: A Guide For Free Speech Coalition Members
New beneficial ownership reporting requirements have been introduced by the United States Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), in effect January 1st, 2024. These regulations apply to businesses operating in the U.S., including those owned by Free Speech Coalition members, and require identification and reporting of beneficial owners who exert significant control or own at least 25% of a company. Companies subject to reporting must file electronically through FinCEN's secure system, providing detailed information about beneficial owners and company details.
