Team,
It’s hard to remember a moment when I was as disappointed in Washington politicians as I was the day Claudia Tenney voted to repeal the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Three years ago, she celebrated passing legislation that would have taken away health care from millions of New Yorkers in the White House Rose Garden.
I’m grateful now -- in the midst of a public health crisis -- that her plan to strip health care from our country’s most vulnerable failed. But unfortunately, she’s still playing the same political games.
This week, following the 10-year anniversary of 20 million Americans gaining access to health care, Claudia Tenney told her supporters that she remains laser-focused on repealing the ACA -- calling it her “mission” for her comeback bid.
Listen, any attempt right now to dismantle the ACA is reckless, misguided, and frankly, heartless. Americans are relying on their health care now more than ever, and they are looking to us to find common-sense solutions that will save lives -- not jeopardize them.
This moment is far too important to let partisan politics divide us. My work in Washington will remain rooted in finding common ground with leaders on both sides of the aisle. Friends, I appreciate your continued support as we fight for the health, safety, and security of our working families.
In this together,
Anthony Brindisi
