Dear A.,

This morning, the IDF’s Arrow long-range missile defense system

shot down a ballistic missile fired by Iranian-backed Houthi terrorists in Yemen. It was the sixth time Arrow has been used to intercept an incoming missile since the war began, and the seventh time Arrow has been deployed in live combat.

The United States has invested over $4.5 billion in the Arrow program – a direct byproduct of our work together to ensure Israel has the technologies and resources to defend against any combination of threats.

The IDF announced today that its large-scale operation in northern Gaza is continuing, as Israeli troops raid Hamas sites and eliminate terrorists in the area. Ten Hamas sites were targeted today in the north and 20 terrorists were killed. In southern Gaza, the IDF is continuing to attack Hamas cells in Khan Yunis through a combination of airstrikes and ground raids – killing an additional 15 Hamas terrorists today.

12,000 Hamas terrorists have been killed according to the IDF, with thousands more injured and unable to fight. Israel believes an additional 10,000 Hamas terrorist have embedded themselves in Rafah amid the more than one million civilians reportedly in the area.

Palestinian terror attack near Jerusalem

Three Palestinian terrorists wielding automatic weapons opened fire on Israelis today as they sat in traffic driving toward Jerusalem. 26-year-old Matan Elmaliah was murdered in the attack. Eleven others, including a 23-year-old pregnant woman, were wounded.

Two of the terrorists were shot dead by security forces and armed civilians at the scene. The third gunman initially fled, before being neutralized a short while later following police searches in the area.

U.S. at the Hague: Israel’s security must be protected; peace can’t be achieved through unilateral actions

Yesterday, the United States issued a strong pro-Israel testimony at the International Court of Justice in opposition to another anti-Israel action brought forward by the United Nations.

Urging the court not to call for Israel’s immediate withdrawal from the West Bank and Gaza, the State Department’s representative said that any effort to do so “requires consideration for Israel’s very real security needs.”

The U.S. reaffirmed that “This conflict cannot be resolved through violence or unilateral actions. Negotiations are the path to lasting peace."

commends the Biden administration’s principled testimony at the Hague.

The path to Israeli-Palestinian peace must start with removing Hamas from power and the emergence of a reformed and revamped Palestinian Authority committed to peace.

Israeli team dispatched to Paris for hostage deal talks

Israel’s war cabinet voted today to dispatch a delegation to Paris for talks on a possible hostage release agreement, according to reports.

The decision came after senior White House adviser Brett McGurk held talks in Israel with Prime Minister Netanyahu and other top officials centered around the negotiations.
