John,
Despite the click bait national
headlines that portray our City in a negative light, the facts here on
the ground demonstrate something very different.
San Franciscans are feeling
safe.
A Chronicle poll showed nearly 70% of San Franciscans
feel safe in their neighborhoods. The hard work we are doing is beginning to
show and people are feeling it. But we have more work to do, and I
won’t let up until every single person feels safe, in every corner of
our city.
-
Crime has dropped dramatically
-
People are returning to
Downtown
I need your help on March 5th, in support of three ballot
measures that are critical to keep up the progress.
-
Prop C will bring
more people downtown by turning empty commercial buildings into new
homes. Downtown will become a diverse, thriving 24/7
neighborhood.
-
Prop E will keep our
progress on safety moving forward, by giving police the 21st-century
tools they need to do their jobs, and ending the meddling of the
ideological Police Commission that has put officers behind desks,
filling out reams of paperwork instead of focusing their time on the
beat, out in the neighborhoods.
-
Prop F will save lives by requiring those who
suffer from fentanyl addiction and receive cash assistance from the
city, to enroll in any type of treatment. Prop F will save lives and
send the message that San Francisco is closed to drug tourism.
Don’t forget to vote on March 5th.
Your voice is critical to these measures and moving our city
forward.
Sincerely,
Mayor London Breed
