Friend,

In just the past week, we at Common Dreams have reported evidence of Israel bombing hospitals, shooting doctors, and targeting starving women and children as they scavenge for grass, leaves, or flour spilled along dirty roads.

Now, after weeks of telling people to evacuate south, Israel is preparing a catastrophic ground assault on the 1.5 million Palestinians trapped in a tiny "2.5-square-mile death cage" in Rafah, at the southern tip of Gaza.

The numbers stun. The total number of Palestinians killed nears 30,000, including at least 13,000 children. Another 70,000 have been wounded, and at least 8,000 are unaccounted for and presumed dead, decomposing under the rubble.

And still, America — what the ever-loving fuck — sends more arms, without which Israel would have no choice but to curtail its slaughter.

The American people desperately need these facts so we can pressure the Biden administration to stop this madness. But the corporate media parrots Israeli propaganda — or else ignores the unfolding genocide entirely.

That's why Common Dreams' reporting on the war in Gaza is so vital at this moment — and why, as one of our most senior writers, I'm personally asking you to donate to help support this work.

Will you donate to our Winter Campaign and help support our ongoing reporting on the war in Gaza and the global movement clamoring for its end?

DONATE
