Attending the Dixie National Rodeo

This past weekend, Haley and I attended the Dixie National Rodeo. It is always a great time watching competitions, visiting with friends, and supporting our agriculture communities. Commissioner Andy Gipson and his team did a great job with this year’s rodeo.



 

Clarke County Comes to D.C.

Last week, I met with Clarke County supervisors Paul Mosley and Scott Evans.  I’m thankful for them and all our local leaders who work to better our Mississippi communities.

Meeting with Fellow Mississippians and Former DHS Secretary Chad Wolf

 

Former Department of Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf was in D.C. recently briefing us on the failures of the Biden Administration to secure the border. Under Secretary Wolf’s leadership the U.S. had one of the most secure borders in our history. Under current Secretary Mayorkas we see that DHS has adopted an open borders policy fueled by his refusal to enforce the law.

 



Staff Highlights from Around the District

Coach Kevin Robichaux and the Jackson Prep 8th grade golf team enjoyed visiting with my staff recently. We owe so much to coaches throughout Mississippi’s Third Congressional District who guide and inspire our youth. Thank you, coach, and good luck this season.



Under conservative leadership Mississippi has seen continued economic growth. Coca-Cola began construction recently on a new facility in McComb, Mississippi. My staff attended the groundbreaking ceremony and visited with Mayor Quordiniah Lockley, congratulating McComb on the bright future with Coca-Cola.



My field representative, Chad Dixon, attended the Simpson County Board of Supervisors meeting and then went to the town of D’Lo to meet with staff at the water department. I’m thankful for the hard work of our local officials in Simpson County.
