John,
Today, I reflect on a defining moment in the civil rights movement — the Montgomery Bus Boycotts.
I’m grateful for the courage of civil rights leaders like Rosa Parks, who stood against injustice and cleared a path for future generations. Ms. Parks showed the power of one. How one decision by one person in one moment can ignite a collective movement for change. She refused to accept the status quo and sparked a wave of courage and determination that resonated far beyond Montgomery.
I’ve spent my life navigating a world that treats me differently because of my skin color. Racism is an ever-present reminder that the fight to create a society that values, supports, and protects everyone is far from over. Together, we must acknowledge and dismantle systemic injustices that still persist. Let us draw inspiration from the heroes of the civil rights movement and continue their work for justice. Their sacrifices and determination paved the way for progress, but there is still much work to do.
TX-32 is a majority-minority district, and the importance of diverse representation in Congress must be celebrated. For those who feel excluded from the political process, diverse leadership is the inspiration to motivate an engaged and excited electorate. I am the leader who will champion the values, experiences, and needs of all members of TX-32.
When elected, I pledge to be a voice for the marginalized, a champion for the underrepresented, and a tireless advocate for justice. Together, we can build a future where every citizen, regardless of their background, is valued, respected, and empowered. Help me get to Congress with a donation of $5, or whatever you can, right away. Anything you can spare helps. >> [link removed]
I’ve said it before, and I'll say it again: Your endorsement is the only way we can win this race.
Onward,
Dr. Brian Williams
