We have terrible news: the U.S. endangered species list is growing.
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service recently announced that nine species across 33 states may soon join the federal threatened or endangered species list.
The new list of endangered species includes colorful freshwater fish, two types of salamanders, a small pygmy rabbit, a bumble bee, and a toad.
Each of these animals have now been identified as facing the risk of extinction. Thankfully, once an animal is listed as an endangered species, they will be monitored over the next year to determine if they are officially “endangered” or “threatened.”
Thanks to your help in 2022, SEEC PAC was able to re-elect over 95% of our pro-environment members to the U.S. House of Representatives — defying the odds on a night where Democrats lost seats. Now we are counting on you to help our SEEC members pass climate, clean energy and environmental justice policies in the 118th Congress while we continue fighting for a sustainable future.
