Elon Musk wants to destroy the National Labor Review Board.

Hi,

A long and growing list of women have come forward accusing Elon Musk and his companies of rampant sexual harassment.1 Musk was even forced to pay a flight attendant $250,000 after she claimed that he exposed himself and propositioned her for sex during a flight in 2016.2

And now Elon Musk has filed a lawsuit aimed at destroying one of the key federal agencies responsible for protecting workers from sexual abuse and harassment: the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).3

If Musk's lawsuit is successful, it would deal a huge blow to the rights of workers everywhere. That's why we must fight back and demand that Congress act now to fully fund and protect the National Labor Relations Board from these attacks.

Elon Musk has a long history of opposing unions and lashing out at employees.4 His misogynist, racist, and dangerous conspiracy-filled posts on the website formerly known as Twitter are infamous.5

What may be less well-known about Musk is that he has been repeatedly accused of sexual misconduct.

Employees at the male-dominated SpaceX say he's created a culture that tolerates both harassment and gender discrimination, and they organized an open letter urging the company to enforce of the company's sexual harassment policies.

But instead of taking the employees' complaints seriously, Musk fired them.6

The National Labor Relations Board stepped in to defend the fired workers early this year, calling their termination illegal.7 Almost immediately, Musk announced his revenge: a baseless lawsuit claiming the agency is unconstitutional.

Elon Musk's lawsuit opens the door to a total erosion of worker protections. But Congress has the ability to ensure that the board remains strong. We need them to act now.

Yes, I’ll chip in $10 to Demand Progress Action to support our work, including fighting for full funding of the National Labor Review Board and other pro-worker reforms.

With gratitude for all that you do,

The team at Demand Progress Action
