Committing to a monthly donation to fund Brady’s life-saving work ensures that Brady has the resources they need to keep fighting every single day to take on the gun lobby, pass common sense gun safety legislation, and finally free America from gun violence. Hi there John,
My name is Steve Kerr. You may know me as coach of the Golden State Warriors, but I am also a dedicated activist and Brady partner, because I know personally what it is like to lose a loved one to gun violence — and I fight every day to prevent anyone else from knowing that loss too.
My father was shot and killed at work 40 years ago, changing my life forever and leaving my family scarred. And unfortunately, stories like mine are all too familiar. In 2023, we witnessed another year of record-breaking levels of gun violence and too many communities were changed forever after tragedy:
At a community center in Monterey Bay, CA, a gunman with an assault weapon killed 11 people.
At an elementary school in Nashville, TN, a gunman with an assault weapon killed 6 people, including three children.
At a restaurant and bowling alley in Lewiston, ME, a gunman with an assault weapon killed 22 people.
John, I continue to ask myself: When will our leaders do something?
We cannot allow our lawmakers to sit idly by while our nation is under threat – because the truth is that gun violence could affect any of us. But just as true is that we can change our reality if we work together – and that’s the fight that Brady is leading every day.
This movement is about people: The people we have lost to senseless violence, the people who grieve their loved ones, the people we can save, and the people who can make a difference — people like you, John. I know you want to support this mission in the most meaningful way, so I’m counting on you to join me in taking action today:
The constant threat of gun violence requires a constant flow of resources so we can end this epidemic. A monthly gift fuels Brady’s fight all year long, not just when mass shootings break headlines. These resources fund Brady’s life-saving work to ban assault weapons and pass other common sense, life-saving reforms that families have spent decades calling for. And trust me, with your support, the team at Brady are the folks who will get the job done. Will you make a monthly donation now to continuously support Brady’s efforts to end gun violence in our country? [[link removed]]
