Dear John,

President Biden has been in office for more than three years and still has not finalized changes to the Title IX rule that would repeal the harmful sexual harassment rule put forth by the Trump administration and Betsy DeVos’ Department of Education. Now, we are months away from a crucial election, making the future of Title IX enforcement uncertain.
Tell the Biden Administration: Finalize Title IX Now! [[link removed]]
Students should not have to suffer under Betsy Devos’ Title IX rule for another year.

Recently, the Biden administration submitted part of the new Title IX rule to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for final review, a crucial step before the rule becomes final and is in effect. That part will help restore protections for student survivors and clarify the rights of LGBTQIA+ and pregnant and parenting students. However, the Biden administration has still not submitted the other part of the rule that addresses the rights of trans, nonbinary and intersex student athletes, despite repeated promises to protect those students’ rights, to the OMB. With more than 20 states that have anti-trans sports bans, the Biden administration must keep its promise and ensure that the Title IX rule is clear in protecting all students’ right to play sports.

Student survivors, LGBTQIA+ students, and pregnant and parenting students on every campus across the United States deserve clear Title IX rule protections. Tell the Biden administration to finalize all parts of the Title IX rule, including protections for trans, nonbinary, and intersex student athletes NOW! [[link removed]]
