Hi friend,
Even though you don't know who I am, I convinced the email team here at Evergreen to let me send a personal note to you all so that I can share my gratitude.
I hope you already know that your engagement with our work is crucial to our outward mission—but you probably don't know how much your support matters inside of this organization.
As the chief of staff for our 30-person team, I oversee the internal workings at Evergreen. From building culture and supporting professional development, to establishing sector-leading benefits and leading strategic planning, I ensure that Evergreen staff have what they need to ceaselessly work for bold climate action.
In 2023, I had the pleasure of being busy doing what I love. We added 12 new members to the Evergreen team—that's new, dedicated expertise on climate policy, campaigns, state action, communications, digital, and operations.
And I'll share with you that this team is not just incredibly smart, hard-working, and so good at what they do—they're also full of heart. They care deeply about each other, their communities, and the future we're building. (They didn't make me say that, but they did bold that sentence!)
Even though we've grown, we remain a small and mighty team, and your engagement—whether you take action to make an impact, donate to sustain our work, or learn something you can share—is what makes us effective.
