The Oklahoma Democratic Party Demands a Response from the Superintendent of Public Instruction
OKLAHOMA CITY, — FEBRUARY 20, 2024 – Oklahoma continues to make heartbreaking history. This time, the rhetoric coming from state leadership has contributed to the death of a student.
For the last five (5) years, the state legislature has presented more and more discriminatory bills aimed at children. These bills range from depriving children of the representation that comprehensive history would provide to denying children of their gender identity and beyond. The Superintendent of Public Instruction has added a new level of vitriol to the conversation.
An Owasso student died following a beating in a school restroom. A teacher broke up the fight, and the student was unable to leave the restroom without assistance, and yet, no authorities were summoned. No ambulance, no police. Read more...
Oklahoma Democrats Move the Needle
OKLAHOMA CITY, — FEBRUARY 19, 2024 – What we learned from the special election race in House District 39, a district cut decidedly Republican, is that our candidates carry winning messages. Support for local public schools and opposition to Superintendent Ryan Walters played major roles in this race.

Mark your calendar for the following dates as we prepare for the 2024 State Delegate Selection Convention and the 2024 DNC National Convention.
The Oklahoma 2024 Delegate Selection (PPP) Convention takes place on April 6. 2024 at the Ardmore Convention Center in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Delegates who declare their candidacy by filling out a delegate declaration and pledge support form are then selected and confirmed by each presidential candidate's representative.
Selected candidates attend the convention and are, at that time, elected as National delegates by the Oklahoma State 2023 delegate body and then commit to attending the DNC National Convention on August 19-22, 2024, where they will elect our next Democrat Presidential Nominee.
The Oklahoma Democratic Party calls on interested Democrats to become National Delegates for the 2024 Nationa Convention in Chicago in August.
Applications are open until March 8, 2024, by 5 p.m.
There are two types of delegates - District Level and At Large:
District-Level delegates are elected through a caucus in each of the five Oklahoma Congressional Districts at the PPP convention held on April 6, 2024.
At-Large delegates are selected after the District Level elections at the PPP convention held on April 6, 2024.
