Trump lied to supporters, saying that jobs would come back and left them in the cold. If allowed to return to the White House, we can expect the gap between the wealthy and everyone else to grow.
For working Americans to prosper, we must end tax breaks for the ultra-wealthy and embrace a vision of new economic patriotism. That means bringing unionized, well-paying manufacturing jobs back to the United States to communities left behind by globalization. It means incentivizing factory construction, investing in training opportunities and manufacturing process innovations, and pushing the federal government to use tax revenues to purchase items made in America. It means restoring our country to a manufacturing superpower, one that meets the needs of the 21st century.
