The threat of a second Donald Trump term is so much worst than the first.

Donald Trump has promised to be a "dictator" on "Day 1" of his next
administration, planning to “close the border, and . . . drill, drill,
drill.”(1)

Dictator Trump would also encourage Russia “to do whatever the hell they
want” to our NATO allies.(2)

If that isn't scary enough, at least 18 Senators and 96 Representatives
have offered a full-throated endorsement of Trump – many not despite, but
because of the policies he’s championing.(3)

California is not powerless in the fight to stop Trump. Trump requires a
complicit Congress to bring his plans to fruition, and Californians hold
the key to denying Republicans the House majority, effectively
neutralizing Trump’s supporters and giving Democrats the power to enact
the federal progressive legislation we need. We need to flip just a few
Republican-held seats in our state to give Democrats the majority in the
House -- and we have the plan to do that!

While no Republican has won California’s support in the presidential race
since the 1980s, our state now sends 11 Republicans to Washington as part
of our congressional delegation. Five of those Republicans come from
districts that Joe Biden won in 2020, and we have real potential to flip
those seats in the upcoming election.(4)

Thanks to a deluge of bad news for the Republicans, their hold on power in
the House is slipping, and flipping just one of those districts could make
the difference between having Speaker Mike Johnson or Speaker Hakeem
Jeffries come next January.(5)

The Courage team has organizers on the ground in two of the most hotly
contested districts in the state, working hard to reach working class
residents. We’re also distributing our 2024 Progressive Voter Guide to
thousands of California voters to ensure they know what’s at stake in the
upcoming election and where the candidates fall on issues that matter most
to them. Finally, working with partners across the state, we have a bold
plan to reach millions of voters to make sure that they help flip
Republican-held districts and ensure a Democratic majority in the House.
