John, it's Lt. Governor Toland, and I'm here to give you an update on the legislative session:

Kansas extremists are pushing harder than ever to legalize their far-right agenda – and with their legislative Supermajorities, it could be bad news for hardworking Kansans.
Governor Kelly has already put her veto power to use, but the legislative Supermajorities have the power to override them later. John, we have to make sure they won't have this power come next session – which is why we're growing our coalition to vote them out this fall. BREAK THE SUPERMAJORITIES [[link removed]]
Far-right extremist legislators hit the ground running this session, and they haven't let up on their repressive agenda yet:
❌ First: They started the session pushing a flat tax package, which would benefit the super wealthy, not working Kansans, and take us back to the days of Brownback.
❌ Then: They put forth a near-total abortion ban, while blatantly ignoring the 2022 ballot measure, where Kansans voted overwhelmingly to protect reproductive freedoms
❌ Now: They're attacking voters directly, by putting intense and unwarranted restrictions on voting: including early voting and mail-in ballots.
Instead of those oppressive priorities, we should be passing a plan that cuts taxes for all Kansans, expanding Medicaid, and investing in early childhood services.
Kansas Democratic leaders are working hard to combat the far-right, but we can't break the Supermajorities on our own.
We need folks, like you, to join us.
John, will you chip in and join the Kansas Democrats to BREAK the legislative Supermajorities this fall? [[link removed]]
