It's Wendy, from Marcy's finance team. I was looking through our records and I noticed that we don't yet have a record of you contributing to Marcy's campaign.

If you're not in a position to chip in right now, we completely understand. But if you'll read on for just a minute,  I'd like to tell you why it's a great time to get involved in our fight for the Heartland.

Election Day is less than nine months away, friend. As we close in on our first major fundraising deadline of the year, we're planning out our campaign expenses all the way to November — and we expect this race to come down to the wire.

For a grassroots campaign like ours, even a $5 contribution makes a difference. Between now and Election Day, a few hundred supporters stepping up could be the difference between victory and defeat.

And friend, I don't have to tell you how much is on the line this November.

Marcy is a lifelong champion for the Heartland and working people everywhere. She's fighting for good-paying jobs, affordable healthcare, investments in the Heartland, and a cleaner Great Lakes environment.

But our race is a top target for the national GOP and their special interest allies, and they're trying to undo all of the progress we've made. We can't afford to let that happen.

Together, we can elect Democrats up and down the ballot here in Ohio — but we can't wait to start that work. Can we count on you to make your first contribution to our campaign today?
