Friend, you need to know about this.
Hi Friend
We’ve uncovered something deeply disturbing. An influential player in the UK media landscape, poised for a huge takeover of The Telegraph and Spectator has, for months, been engaging with extreme racist online accounts.
HOPE not hate can today reveal that Sir Paul Marshall, the founder of news and commentary website Unherd and co-owner of right-wing channel GB News, is deeply entangled with far-right ideologies, Islamophobia, and conspiracy narratives through his social media activity.
Read The Investigation
Hidden behind a private and anonymised Twitter account, Marshall has liked and retweeted tweets that call for mass-deportation of migrants and which suggest a civil war between “native Europeans” and “fake refugee invaders” is imminent.
With Marshall chasing a media takeover that would rank him among the most powerful media owners in the country, this news should be of deep concern to anyone who believes in a fair and balanced press that chooses facts and reason over racist lies.
This isn’t the first time that we’ve uncovered hidden agendas. Recently we exposed racist and Islamophobic content from Conservative London mayoral candidate Susan Hall, and revealed a secret anti-Muslim group operating in the heart of Westminster – but we need your help today to continue this vital work.
Today, we are launching our Radical Right Monitoring Unit. This will be a dedicated effort to proactively uncover, unmask, and hold accountable figures of hate. But we can’t do it without your support.
John, powerful figures embedded within the Conservative Party and the wider media sphere, are cloaking their true beliefs to avoid public scrutiny. We need to act to stop them. Will you stand with us today and help us raise £15,000 to fund our research?
