my opponent has made his anti-safety stance clear. While he doesn't believe in gun control, I've been a proud proponent for safety measures like a ban on military-style weapons, increased background checks and more.
2️⃣ When it comes to access to reproductive freedom…
my opponent fully supports the Dobbs decision overturning Roe v Wade, and aligns himself with the same groups advocating for a nation-wide abortion ban and against access to contraception.
Meanwhile, I side with the American people: politicians should not be involved in our personal healthcare or family-planning decisions.
I've said this in the House and earlier this year, I was proud to be a part of a movement to put abortion access on the ballot in Florida.
3️⃣ Finally, when it comes to life-saving benefits for seniors… my opponent is from the same party working their hardest to cut these benefits.
I, on the other hand, understand how devastating it would be for our residents to lose such an important benefit – that's why I've fought hard to make sure programs like Social Security and Medicare are well-funded. |
