House Republicans and state GOP officials have been threatening to ignore the rule of law, the Supreme Court, and our Constitution.

GOP members of the House are playing up partisan politics in an attempt to force their extremist MAGA agenda on the American people. They can’t even stop in-party fighting long enough to pass their own proposed bills, but now they’re grandstanding in committees, making fringe claims about their right to ignore the law and harm immigrants. It’s Congress’s responsibility to pass immigration legislation and funding. But to do that, the GOP has to put forward workable solutions and actually vote on a measure to be signed into law. This House majority is clearly not interested in meeting that responsibility.
