John — remember when President Biden recently halted LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) exports? It was a pretty big deal. Well, the House voted last week to flip that climate victory upside down.

With a vote of 224-200 — including a few oily House Democrats 😠 — the House voted to undo President Biden’s freeze on new LNG export approvals. It’s a clear signal: The greedy fossil fuel industry’s chokehold on our government is too strong.

President Biden’s pause was a BIG deal. It meant rethinking how LNG exports affect everything from the climate to our security — especially after years of scientists, activists, and frontline communities sounding the alarm about the dangers of new LNG projects. Dangers that range from local pollution and increasing our dependence on fossil fuels to contributing to increased emissions from gas burning and methane leaks.
