If you really think about it, folks, the GOP’s aggressively anti-climate agenda is plain bizarre – last I checked, they also breathe oxygen, drink clean water, and enjoy living on Planet Earth.

The answer to their baffling behavior lies in complex political calculations like this one: Republicans + Fossil Fuel = BFFFF (Best Fossil Fuel Friends Forever)

If your algebra skills are a little rusty, let me lay it out for you:

First, Big Coal, Big Oil, and Big Corporate Polluters make sure that their BFFFFs, the GOP, have all the millions they need to win elections.

Then, Republicans slash environmental regulations, spread disinformation, reject international climate cooperation, and block investment in renewable energy.

Next, fossil fuel CEOs gleefully roll around in their giant piles of money, Scrooge McDuck-style.💰
And the cycle continues.
