Hello --

I never imagined sending an email like this, but our country is facing an unprecedented public health emergency. Our schools, our places of worship, and many businesses are closed as we do our civic duty to slow the outbreak of the coronavirus in our communities.

So, I need to be honest with you: just as this pandemic has surely impacted you and your family, it has impacted our campaign, too.

We've canceled our in-person fundraisers. Our average online contribution has unsurprisingly dropped in the last week. And my campaign manager is working overtime to rework our paid media budget, just as Mitch McConnell's super PAC booked millions of dollars in ads to help our opponent.

This crisis will require a different kind of campaign to flip Colorado's Senate seat blue -- one that none of us could have imagined just a few short weeks ago. That means fundraising messages like this are more important to winning this election than ever before.

We can't win this election without a lot of folks who are able stepping up for our team in the coming weeks, which is why I'm personally asking:

Please, can I count on you to donate $10 or more right now -- if you can spare it -- so we can reach our FEC fundraising goal next week and ensure my team has the resources they need to respond to the attacks from McConnell's super PAC?

Anything you can chip in today would make a huge difference, but please only give if you can afford it. I know people are struggling right now -- and it's critical you put your family and your health first.

Thanks for all you do. Stay safe, my friend.

P.S. We know this is a difficult time, so please take care of yourself and your loved ones and only pitch in if you can afford to do so. To pause our emails until this public health emergency has passed, fill out this form. [link removed]-------
