AI events and resources plus political tech job opportunities.

In a decisive moment last week in New York’s Third Congressional District, we witnessed the profound impact of organizers, campaigners, and technologists on the ground. This victory not only fills us with hope but also reinforces our commitment to bolstering progressive tech and innovation as we move toward 2024 and beyond.

At HGL, our Progressive AI Lab ([link removed]) has been actively serving as a central hub for Democratic and progressive AI innovation. The AI in Campaigning and Organizing Summit we cohosted in DC brought together 265+ attendees curious about the transformative role of AI in driving progressive victories this cycle. We've also been cohosting virtual AI Open Mics to facilitate community learning through reportbacks on AI applications in Content Generation and Data Analytics. Coming up, we're preparing our Progressive AI Lab grant recipients for investment readiness at our Political AI Funders' Demo Day ([link removed]) .

HGL's portfolio is doing incredible work supporting candidates and causes up and down the ballot this year — and they are hiring for some key roles ([link removed]) to scale up their efforts. Below, discover more about our recent initiatives and how you can get involved.

AI in Campaigning and Organizing Summit

The energy was buzzing at the AI in Campaigning and Organizing Summit co-hosted by HGL’s Progressive AI Lab, Zinc Labs, and Cooperative Impact Lab in Washington, DC last month. We held briefings on how generative AI works as well as key ethical and security concepts, reported back on practical case studies of AI usage in the field, and discussed applications of AI in key campaigning and organizing functions.

We are grateful for the 265+ attendees who contributed their insights to the Summit. And thank you again to our community happy hour sponsors: Action Network, Analyst Institute, Community Tech Alliance, and Switchboard.
