Here’s your friendly reminder that we’re about one week away from a spending deadline.

The GOP-controlled House needs to act on real, workable spending legislation. Instead, they’re flirting with another government shutdown. All because they continue to prioritize partisan games and their own political careers over the American people.

Frankly, it’s disturbing how many times I’ve written to you in the past year about how close we are to a government shutdown. It’s clear that Republicans will keep ignoring the terrible human cost shutdowns have on Virginians and people all over our country.

If we want effective, proactive leadership, we need to send more Democrats to Congress in November. Will you help me protect Americans from the GOP’s reckless political games by chipping in $5 so we can elect Democrats up and down the ballot?
