Dear Friend,

I'm excited to share some important developments from yesterday's City Council session. I introduced two resolutions aimed at enhancing our city's economic competitiveness and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The first resolution seeks to reconvene the Philadelphia Tax Reform Commission to analyze our tax structure comprehensively and make recommendations for reform. This is crucial as we aim to create a business-friendly environment post-COVID-19, encouraging businesses to not only move into Philadelphia but also stay and thrive here.

The second resolution proposes the creation of a Special Committee on City and Private Sector Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Policies. This committee will examine existing policies and provide recommendations to enhance diversity and inclusion efforts, ensuring that all residents and businesses have the necessary tools to succeed.

These initiatives underscore our commitment to promoting economic inclusion and equity for all Philadelphians. I believe that through collaborative efforts, we can create a more prosperous and equitable city.

Thank you for your continued support as we work towards these goals together.
