The Texas Film Commission has long understood the fundamental importance of the Digital Media industries to Texas media production as a whole.? Similar to Film Friendly Texas [ [link removed] ], we are thrilled to formally announce the *Digital Media Friendly Texas* (*DMFTX*) Certified Community Program!? Communities now have yet another tool to attract the media production industries to every corner of the state.? Whether you are in a major metropolitan city or a small rural town, if your community has a passion for the innovative media production industries, the DMFTX program is perfect for you.? Our first official DMFTX community workshop will be at the Film Friendly Forum in New Braunfels on May 16th [ [link removed] ]?another reason to register your community today!? We eagerly await answering your questions about the program and creating a network of forward-looking communities!

Texas Incentives for Digital Media Projects

Did you hear?? The 88th Texas Legislature funded the Texas Moving Image Industry Incentive Program (TMIIIP) with a record-setting *$200 million* for the 2024-2025 biennium.? Did you also know that animation, VFX, video game, and XR projects are eligible for the program, too?? VFX News as Big as Texas!

The Visual Effects Society (VES) officially announced their newest section?none other than the Lone Star State!? Texas joins 15 other sections for the Society's nearly 5,000 VFX professionals spanning 45 countries worldwide.? With this official designation, members of the Texas section will not only grow and support the VFX industry within Texas, VES will "[work] with educational institutions within the state to train and mentor future generations of Texas artists."?
