Pope Francis invites world to prayer
The Pope announced that on Friday, March 27, at 1:00 PM Eastern Time, in front of St. Peter's Basilica, he will preside over a moment of prayer for the world during the COVID-19 pandemic. You can particpate via the Vatican News website. The prayer will include readings from the Scriptures, prayers of supplication, and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. It will conclude with Pope Francis giving the urbi et orbi (to the city and to the world) blessing, with the possibility of gaining a plenary indulgence for all those who listen to it live through the various forms of communication. The urbi et orbi blessing usually happens on Christmas and Easter.
