John,
Today, we commemorate the birthday of the late Congressman John Lewis, a monumental figure in the civil rights movement whose legacy continues to inspire us today.
We honor him not only for his work and his sacrifices during the civil rights movement, but also his fight for justice and equality in this country throughout his lifetime.
But right now, we’re witnessing unprecedented attacks on the voting rights of all Americans. The Voting Rights Act, a landmark piece of legislation, is under relentless attack, and widespread voter suppression tactics are being employed to strip the right to vote from our vulnerable communities.
John, sign on now if you agree: We must continue to fight every day to enshrine voting rights, restore the full protections of the Voting Rights Act, and empower our communities.
Together, we can stand together in defense of our democracy and the principles for which John Lewis fought tirelessly.
Thank you,
Quentin James
