John,

We wanted to make sure you had all the news you need about our race:

The Michigan presidential primaries are coming up quick, the most recent FEC reports are out for our race, and it’s only getting more competitive from here. Chip in a grassroots donation of $7 ahead of our end-of-month deadline. [[link removed]]

1. MI-10 is a true battleground district and one of the Democrats’ most important pickup opportunities in 2024. After two failed runs for public office, our opponent John James barely snuck in in 2022. Now, he’s one of just a handful of vulnerable Republicans in the House and was recently named one of the 10 critical seats to controlling the House majority.

What’s more, with a major flip of George Santos’ seat – the criminal James voted to shield from charges – there are now just four seats standing between Democratic control of Congress.

2. Some of our opponents are HEAVILY courting the rich, NOT our district. While Diane leads the pack in small-dollar contributions from within our district, not everyone is thinking about our community. As the Detroit Free Press noted, one person in this race has raised almost half his campaign funds from his own loan. In fact their average itemized campaign donation is $3947.

Meanwhile, John James continues to raise heavily from the likes of Betsy DeVos and the Trump Organization. It shows that they aren’t even trying to talk to district when they are funded by their “well-connected” networks – and it shows that those are the people they will answer to in Washington.  We deserve someone who will represent us.

3. Despite the heavy spending, this race is winnable with your help! In 2022, outside far-right PACs spent well over $2 million trying to elect James, yet he barely won by 1600 votes! Regardless of what he claims on his reports, he's beatable, but only with a strong enough grassroots campaign to get the vote out.

Our best shot at unseating John James is with a true, homegrown, local candidate who understands our community's needs. But we need your help to do it.

Help us stay on track and raise $5,000 ahead of the end-of-month deadline to support Diane’s campaign to flip MI-10 from red to blue. [[link removed]]
