As we all know the Israeli-Hamas War has caused indiscriminate bombing in Palestine and mass destruction, is framed as a genocide by South Africa, and the United States has voted against a ceasefire three (3) times at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
These actions have resulted in my collaboration with two (2) nationally recognized ministers of the Church of Christ, Bro. Dr. James Michael Crusoe of Hopewell, Virginia and Bro. Edward Keyton of Atlanta, Georgia on calling for a ceasefire in the Middle East.

He has an eclectic background that includes studies at various faith-based institutions of higher learning: (Lutheran; Church of Christ; Presbyterian and Baptist universities). He serves as Minister at Arlington Road Church of Christ in Hopewell, Virginia; is a Holy Bible instructor and Lectureship Director at the School of Religious Studies in Little Rock, Arkansas; is an Adult Education (GED) teacher in the Prince George County Schools/Department of Corrections. He is the Executive Director of “Grace Place Retirement”- (a 2 story Housing and Urban Development (HUD) retirement community in Memphis, Tennessee); former chaplain with Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI). He received a Doctor of Ministry degree at Union University School of Theology in Jackson, Tennessee. He has over forty (40) years of experience in ministry, serving churches in Arizona, Kansas, California, and Virginia. Recognizing the need for embracing the unity of the faith to be demonstrated, Dr. Crusoe recruits a cadre of preachers, faith leaders, and followers of the Word from several generations to collaborate on his series, “Somebody Must Come Preaching.”

He is the Minister Emeritus of the Church of Christ at Bouldercrest in Atlanta, Georgia. He began his ministry with the congregation in 1989 when it was known as the Turner Road Church of Christ and retired as the pulpit minister in April 2015. Through his vision for the congregation and his leadership, the congregation grew exponentially for more than 25 years. He spearheaded the building of the current edifice and the acquisition of 30 acres of property. The congregation has been blessed to currently have eight elders, seven deacons, and two assistant ministers.
Minister Keyton’s educational background includes study at Heritage Christian University, Atlanta Christian College, and Carver Bible College. He is in demand for as a keynote speaker for revivals and conferences throughout the United States. Minister Keyton’s focus and preoccupation is with the direction of Black males and females in today’s culture and social climate. His exemplary communication skills with all ages has allowed him the opportunity to touch, as well as make a difference in the lives of thousands. His skills as an entrepreneur, visionary and truth teller serve to inform, inspire and encourage his audience to strive for their best self.
Additionally Minister Emeritus Keyton's accomplishments include:
a. 2009 Changed Men Changing Men Dialogue: a one day conference designed to discuss and search for the causes that attribute to the deaths of many young Black men at the hands of other Black men.
b. Contributing author for the Oracles Open Bible, expounding on the topic “Predestination”
c. Initiation of singles’ ministry and single parents’ forum
d. Mentor for aspiring ministers
e. Authored the very popular book Vision Power (the mind’s eye transforming your thought into reality) in 2016
Minister Keyton is married to Dr. Sarah Keyton. They are the parents of two (2) adult children and two (2) granddaughters.

Sis. Dr. Quintessa Hathaway had a fire lit in her youth to serve humanity and to use her gifts to lift the beloved community. For over twenty (20) years, she has journeyed the road as a public servant. The depth and breadth of her work has been as an educator, academician, author, civil rights marcher, and politician.
She believes we are all charged to aggressively seek to break down the walls of bigotry, racism, ableism, and xenophobia through the process of teaching and learning. As a third (3rd) generation and distinguished educator for over sixteen (16) years, she has pursued that mission. Dr. Hathaway has taught and led in various capacities coast-to-coast in secondary education in both middle and high school in urban and suburban settings, alternative education, adult education, and adjunct professor at a metropolitan Little Rock college.
Furthermore, Sis. Dr. Hathaway is the Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Lead Consultant of her self-titled organization, Q. Hathaway & Associates, LLC, a results-driven education and business consultancy and professional development provider. She was the 2022 Democratic Nominee for the 118th United States Congress (2023-2025) for Arkansas’ Second District (AR-02).
She has combined her knowledge of public policy and educational acumen to shine a light on the most pressing issues of our time. She has dedicated her life to championing reform and giving voice to the voiceless. Sis. Dr. Hathaway has built a brand and a record which she proudly stands upon. Her goal in life is to continue to beat the drum of change. Sis. Dr. Quintessa Hathaway is a member of the Church of Christ at Jackson Street in Nashville, Tennessee, and believes her most important accomplishment is the support and encouragement of her family and friends.
Once the letters are compiled, a national press release will go forth to inform the media, and each level of government that the Church is on notice about the political, biblical, and social aspects of the Israeli-Hamas War.
