NY Attorney General Letitia James' investigation revealed the former President and his top advisors routinely found ways to falsely inflate Trump’s net worth to secure hundreds of millions of dollars in loans between 2008 and 2018.

In one example, Trump misrepresented the value of his Mar-a-Lago property — claiming it was worth $400-$600 million, when an appraiser valued it between $18-$27 million² — to deceive banks into higher loans and lower interest rates.

At Friday's ruling, Trump was also barred from working any top-level position at any New York-based company, including parts of the Trump Organization, or receiving a loan from any New York bank for three years.³
