There has been some miscommunication recently, so we want to clarify: the City of Auburn is NOT currently under a "shelter in place" order.

We DO encourage all residents to stay home as much as possible and continue to follow social distancing and CDC best practices, but our city is not "on lockdown." Please know that your city leadership is constantly reevaluating the situation and will share updates as often as necessary. Stay safe & well, Auburn.

Also - do you know someone who needs access to WIFI?

The Auburn School Department has tested its buildings for WIFI access from outside its buildings and added Guest WIFI connections where the signal was strong. Here are some locations where folks can access FREE WIFI:

Edward Little High School: Front parking lot by Main Office

Auburn Middle School: Front bus circle by Main Office

RETC (Old Lake Street School): Staff parking lot

Franklin Alternative School: Parking lot on Court Street side

East Auburn Community School: Small parking lot on Andrew Drive side of school

Sherwood Heights School: Lower parking lot by cafeteria

As always, be sure to practice social distancing if you make use of any of these sites! Special thanks to the Auburn School Department for sharing this information (and their WIFI).
