Happy No Politics Day, John!
Seriously, we aren’t going to ask you for money or ask you to support a candidate or a cause in this email. For National No Politics Day, we thought we’d talk about something we can all agree to love – our beautiful Colorado!
Below are some fun facts and beautiful pictures of our home state.
1. The very first rodeo was in Colorado. Sorry, Texas, but a local magazine called ‘Field and Farm’ recorded a rodeo event that happened in Colorado on July 4, 1869.
2. The highest auto tunnel in the world is in Colorado, the Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial Tunnel, which connects the high country to the Front Range.
3. The highest paved road in the entirety of North America also calls Colorado home at 14,258 feet above sea level - we just like to get high here in CO.
4. The cheeseburger was invented here by Louis Ballast in 1935. You’re welcome, America!
