Around the world, families are doing the best they can to
confront devastating challenges like conflict, poverty and natural
disasters. Our teams are telling us that rapidly spreading COVID-19 will
make these challenges so much worse.

We’re already helping at-risk communities around the world—more than 7.7
million people last year—to access soap and clean water for hand washing,
and providing support for other vital hygiene and sanitation needs.
Improved hygiene practices could help save people from a debilitating
disease outbreak where they live, but we need to do more — and be ready
for anything. You can help.

[ [link removed] ]Make a gift today and together, we can have up to 5 TIMES THE IMPACT.
Since 2015, Mercy Corps has been able to raise an average of $4 in
government and foundation grants compared to every $1 in individual gifts.
Your gift today will be combined with grants from other sources, enabling
us to provide even more lifesaving assistance to people in desperate
circumstances.

Your gift can make a difference in so many ways around the world. Here are
just three examples of what Mercy Corps supporters have helped make
possible:

Response provided training and supplies to
help stem the epidemic.

safe from deadly diseases, including COVID-19.

In Northern Yemen, many people have fled conflict to areas
where water is scarce and requires hours of walking to collect.
When Mercy Corps built a solar-powered pump, families had a [ Yemen ]Yemen
safer, less labor-intensive way to get clean water, vital for
sanitation and hygiene.

In The Bahamas after Hurricane Dorian, Mercy Corps
partnered to install a reverse osmosis water desalination

already vulnerable communities during the current
COVID-19 crisis.

As COVID-19 continues to spread around the world, it is now reaching
countries most vulnerable to the health and economic impact of the virus.
While we are all facing uncertainty, now is not the time to wait. There
are so many reasons to give, especially when, together, we can have up to
five times the impact for families and communities in more than 40
countries where Mercy Corps works.

31.
