Last week, Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee held an evidentiary hearing on whether to remove District Attorney Fani Willis from President Trump’s bogus Georgia case related to the 2020 election.
Unlike most court hearings, it was anything but boring.
In case you missed the made-for-TV courtroom drama, it was filled with bombshell testimony, fiery comebacks, and eyebrow-raising revelations. Here are some of the key takeaways and what they mean for Fani Willis’ future.
Robin Yeartie, a former “good friend” of Fani Willis and past Fulton County DA employee, testified that Willis began a romantic relationship with Nathan Wade years before Wade and Wills' timeline. Yeartie asserted that she had “no doubt” that the pair started a relationship after meeting at a conference in 2019, adding that she observed the two share affection before Willis tapped Wade as special prosecutor in the case against President Trump.
This critical testimony completely contradicts what Wade and Willis have insisted in court filings. On numerous occasions — including during last week’s hearing — both Fani Willis and Nathan Wade have claimed their relationship started in 2022.
Folks, this means big trouble for both Willis and Wade.
Not only does Yeartie’s testimony confirm that Fani Willis and Nathan Wade’s relationship established a conflict of interest, but it also raises legal questions about the pair’s previous claims. In the Peach State, knowingly giving false statements to a court is punishable by a $1,000 fine and up to 5 years of jail.
After this stunning revelation, things only got worse for Wade and Willis.
While Nathan Wade struggled to recollect certain details surrounding his travel and vacations with Fani Willis, he did give insight into how the two paid for their luxury trips. Wade testified that after using his business credit card to pay for their travel, Willis would reimburse him in hefty sums of cash that she “carried around.” According to Wade, there is nothing to corroborate his claims, such as a bank deposit slip, since he allegedly didn’t deposit any of the cash he received from Fani Willis.
Arguably, the most explosive moments came from Willis’ time on the stand.
Throughout her testimony, Fani Willis was defiant and bombastic — revealing a sharp tongue, a hot temper, and a raging ego. After Willis lashed out and accused one of Trump’s lawyers of lying, Judge McAfee had to call a five-minute recess. When Willis continued to have outbursts and rambling responses, the Judge was forced to issue another warning.
At one point, Willis exclaimed, "I object to you getting records. You’ve been intrusive into people’s personal lives. You're confused. You think I'm on trial? These people are on trial for trying to steal an election in 2020. I'm not on trial no matter how hard you try to put me on trial."
Folks, no amount of obnoxious obfuscation can hide the truth.
As with Alvin Bragg and Jack Smith, Fani Willis is weaponizing our judicial system to politically persecute President Biden’s rival: President Donald Trump. Yet her lack of impartiality, serious ethics violations, and alleged pattern of misusing federal funds are disrupting her nefarious plot.
Clearly, this case is backfiring on the Left. Stay tuned for additional updates.
