Dear community,
We know the power of family. Trans communities have demonstrated how chosen families are life-saving. We sustain each other.
Rather than helping provide safe homes for our community, the Tennessee legislature is considering a bill that puts young LGBTQ people in danger within foster care and adoption. Senate Bill 1738 would deny children their right to accepting parents. It allows potential adoptive and foster parents to disregard government policies protecting LGBTQ children from being placed in hostile homes.
The bill is being voted on by the Senate Judiciary Committee TODAY. Join us in calling Tennessee elected officials to urge them to protect young people. [[link removed]]
