Friend, my life story is only possible in America.
I was born in Mexico and came here when I was 17 years old.
I joined the Atlanta Police Department as a beat cop and became a police chief.
I enlisted in the Army National Guard as a private, and retired as a major general.
Now, I’m proud to serve as the first Hispanic elected to statewide office in Georgia’s history.
Along the way, I’ve experienced a lot and been fortunate enough to travel the world.
Today, I joined the Politically Georgia podcast to talk about my life, efforts to mobilize Latino voters ahead of November, and our work to put families and consumers first.
