Yesterday, Gov. Tony Evers signed into law a new set of legislative maps for Wisconsin. This is a huge win for democracy and our fight for free and fair elections.

Republicans have controlled our state legislature since 2011, and they abused their power attempting to gerrymander themselves into a permanent supermajority. But after a decade of hard work, we have finally secured justice.

With these maps officially in place, we now have the chance to take back our legislature and end more than a decade of Republican rule. But we need your help:

Will you please rush a donation to support our efforts to flip Wisconsin’s legislature? Every single dollar will go toward our effort to elect Democrats up and down the ballot in Wisconsin — making sure we win everything from the state house to the White House in November.

I want to be absolutely clear here: This is not a Democratic gerrymander. Governor Evers worked in good faith to deliver on our promise of fair maps.

Experts say the new maps have 45 Democratic-leaning, 46 Republican-leaning, and eight tossup seats. Even Republican Speaker Robin Vos was forced to acknowledge the slight Republican lean.

So these won’t be easy races that we can take for granted. We have to put in the true hardwork to organize everywhere. For the first time in over a decade, competitive and fair elections are returning to Wisconsin, and that means there are a lot of voters who haven’t gotten a voice in who represents them that we need to reach.

So if we’re going to flip the legislature blue, then it will require all of us working together to organize and raise significant resources. We know Republicans playbook. They will try to flood our state with dark money just like they did to me in 2022 to drown out our candidates with nasty, false attack ads. So we have to be ready.

I’m committed to doing everything I can for our candidates, but I know I cannot do it alone. We saw last April just how powerful this team is when we flipped our state’s Supreme Court, and this November, we can bring change and new leadership to Wisconsin once again.
